There are still asian parents who think programming or anything to do with technology and typing in a place that's not an office building won't get you enough money to live off of. They're so confusing
I think it has more to do with being a hacker than programming itself especially if you're doing something that lands you in the police station. Like when people find out my son has a criminal record, how is she going to save face with the rest of community?

where did that mom come from? If she is truly Asian, she'll be proudly bragging about her son are so good with programming with the next door neighbour. I'll be proud to have a son who is super good with programming?
