And unlike the people who used his previous actions, like tearing up the doll and throwing her hands away, to hate on him, I use those very actions to explain that he not only cared about his daughter enough to tear up the doll he thought might contain sharp objects to harm Blanche but also that he was trying to close the distance between Abigail, his daughter and himself by agreeing to her request to dance with her LONG before he revealed his trauma to her.
But doing it on his own is far different from *expecting* him to take the first steps.
