The MC saw her future in her dream and she took matters into her own hands to escape her faith. From reading the novel, I can tell you that she takes action and has a say in what happens to and around her.
She's a strong woman and makes good use of the protection and position her husband gave her without abusing it. She also has a good judgement and decision making. Aside from the things they find hard to say, they communicate their thoughts and opinions well too. Lastly, despite looking naive, she's not afraid to speak her mind especially when she is put in a difficult situation and deals with it as calmly and as smart as she could.
