He lost his position because of the red haired dude that loves felix. The red-haired dude wants to do something to Felix (I think he threatened to report Felix to the police because Felix did spy on Gio's company, I really can't remember anymore) then Gio gave his company to the red-haired dude to appease him. Then, Gio got his job now because of his brother.
He gave it up for felix. I think it is one of the conditions for the red headed guy to stop bothering felix.
GIO gave his company to the red hair bitch to save Felix, since the red hair and his mother was caught, gio's company now belongs to Felix's dad
