I don't think Yahiko knows what happened between the executive and Ashiya, he just thinks the executive's form is scary enough to tease Ashiya with.
i think 'Ashiya' reference would be the rival of 'abe no' seimei during his era... both of them are the strongest omyoji. ashiya doman and abe no seimei might be the source of the naming.
you might be right, but it still bugs me that Yahiko used exactly the executive's form, like, there are so many yokai in the underworld and he casually thought of the executive?? It's suspicious. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

I think you're reading too much into it, Yahiko may be a bit selfish but he isn't intentionally cruel. Besides, the executive is big, scary and nasty by nature! So of course Yahiko would choose that appearance over any others when it comes to looking scary.
On another note, I'm really glad Yahiko did this because now we get to see Ashiya's dormant powers!!!!

But still the plot is still a mystery if either the author will connect it to the name reference or it's really just their name and nothing more. <3 I'm hyped to know what ashiya really is capable of doing .w.

I've read something about "Ashiya" lineage, I forgot the info. But that name is really attached in many yokai themed anime/manga and if I remember it right they are families that deals with executing demons and summoning some of them? Correct me if I'm mistaken pls.
