I agree, I feel like at this point she's unintentionally forcing Ashley to be with the prince. Like she not even asking Ashley what she wants it's sad
Exactly. Cinderella didn't have anyone except her stepmother and stepsisters that treated her like crap, she had no money and nowhere to go, so the only choice she had at the time was to be with the prince. Plus she had a magical fairy godmother to help her with her happiness. Ashley actually have a resourceful stepmom and sisters that would protect her.
It's kinda contradictory that she's ok with her other daughters doing whatever makes them happy, giving them the choice to choose their own path yet she's forcing Ashley to take the path of a princess. Like she need to wake up, liking someone doesn't necessarily means the other person is gonna like you back. Even if Ashley liked the prince, doesn't mean he'll like her back.

I wish she would stop focusing so much on the story and just be the best mother she can be to the girls. The reason why Cinderella is Cinderella was because of how she was treated by her stepmother and sisters.
She's legit raising her girls as sisters that look out for each other and love each other. She took out one of the crucial parts in the Cinderella story, so obviously everything else is gonna change accordingly.
I guess you can't really add too much logics to a romance story. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
