I'd also say yes smut does ! Cause when we read and follow manga /manhwa so a long time and see the characters meeting for first time and falling in love gradually, we get attached to them and with their relationship development it's fulfilling to see the intimate side too ,the sweetness, angst and smut with excellent plot just makes it feel so COMPLETE !
it's my opinion tho but I really like yaoi /18+ bl much more than shounen ai / underage bl , and I don't like the senseless smut with no plot either cause that's just bs ,the wholesome feeling comes when I get to see all aspects of the characters' life ,ofc this is just my perspective .
Yass, i am too old for that puppy dog love shounen ai crap give me sex or make it a celibate hero action flick! And no light sabers and hidden scenes bc sometimes I'd like to give my imagination a break and see some real action. Yaoi all the way baby.

This story would of been a lot better if they didn’t cut out the smut scenes (yes there are smut scenes but the legal site this is on cuts them out)
I don’t read for just smut I love plot but stories filled with so much unneeded drama needs smut in my opinion
