I totally get where you're coming from, but i don't think this is that kind of story. Yeon Ho genuinely hates the emperor's guts and even after the emperor goes through a gallery of sad and pitiful expressions, he still hates him.
I'd say that pre regression and post regression emperor are two different characters. One was taught a smidge of empathy and the other was just insane.
I guess the only thing I don't like about the story is that there's no right place for Yeon Ho to vent his anger, since now the emperor is nice and doesn't remember anything. But this adds tention so whatever
i’m usually open to wtv, if i see potential then yes. i read the comments and saw two sides, one saying there’s worse BL out there and the other hating this BL. i went into it with a clear mind and just with the first few chapters i’m aghast. before yes, people would say worse ones out there would be the best BL, but… you’re forgetting that those times was when the yaoi community with a lot more toxic fetishizers would be around. now that people are more “woke” i should say, they are allowed to say this is problematic. which is… true. it’s disgusting to see people say this is forgivable, the moment i saw the story literally say the mc was raped and couldn’t go home to his fathers funeral, broke his bones, etc… that’s just.. i don’t even have words. there’s a difference between liking psychological BL’s or just reading shit ones. who cares if the ML had a bad upbringing???????????????? he’s still an asshole. if a murderer had a rough childhood, does that forgive his crimes of murdering innocent people? animals.. the lot of you. get a reality check, y’all need it. this is the same as people who defend shota honestly.
