It never comes around FULL, tho.
Less people will buy the actual work than the one who read it for free.
I also limiting reading webtoon rn because i often forget to buy the official version in my country when i already bought the raw from official sites or read from illegal sites XD... (so yes, i am one of that kind of that 'less' person).
Like when everytime suddenly i became a princess /who made me a princess released. My sns is full ot them spoilers and leaked all of the contents then i feel less motivated to buy. I have the money and sometimes buying chapters, but i have no motivation to complete my collection although i totally love the authors... :(
the english ver of Lout of the Count's family webtoon is licensed by Copin Comics (both as a platform and a publisher). they can bypass their release to be published simultaneously as their Korean counterpart. like the tyrant sole perfumer (Lezhin eng, Copin, and KKP Korea released it together at the same date). if you have tappy|toon account, it is also there officially (but i am a copin simp lmao)
for the novel version of LotCF, i bought the chapters directly in kakaopage because it seems that wuxiaworld doesn't license it properly and the author doesn't want their work to be released outside Korea for now.
if you want an english license, the novel is published in kakaopage so sending request to RADISH (a novel platform app) is appropriate because some KKP novels are being published there (the villainess is a marionette, lady evony, a business proposal). Radish was bought by Kakao corp.
for independent english publisher, wordexcerpt and meteorstrike is also available
It's not like we don't understand the author but YD have to understand that some of us doesn't have money to buy their actual work. But of course that doesn't mean that we can't support them.
If we really love their work and really want to support the creator then we find a way to support them, for example i saved money for months just to buy the novel "trash of the count's family"(i have no idea where I can buy the English ver of the webtoon so if someone can help that would awesome lol) .
What this illegal translators do are basically another form of marketing, for example the author of High School DxD got their work boosted in popularity because of some illegal site.
Now if the creator doesn't really want their work in this sites then that's fine, talk to the translator and done, the translators already know that they r doing something bad so it's not really that hard to negotiate.
