I don't think he was being raped, it looks like the had a BDSM relationship before the guy got into an accident. That's why when he was having sex with his new boyfriend, he started asking him to basically be rough with him. Well, there is one & only one way to avoid it....Go to Baka Updates & see if "rape" is in the tags for the manga you're considering reading. It's so heavily prevalent in yaoi that after reading it for 17 years, I've grown completely numb to it. Incest is fairly common trope in yaoi that you just get used to.
The art in most of it is so covered with stuff it's hard to tell what's going on..I can't stand when someone is repeatedly raped and begins to care ... only when it settles down and begins to have an actual story and recognizable art , it's over...and I doubt there will be updates after this long.. Waste of time to me
