nah, he's just supposed to guide newly dead souls to hell or wherever tf. he's not supposed to actively get involved with the mortal world and try to cause a death of someone when it's not their time to die yet. from the way the other characters talk about his actions, and how it's kept a secret from the king of the underworld, it's inferred what he's doing isn't what a normal grim reaper should be doing but is smth that would get him reprimanded or punished if the king of the underworld were to ever find out.
