yup. quick summary:
margot's mother left bc she didn't want to marry her cousin, she died after giving birth to margot. he was being used because his blood turns into jewels. the blond woman is his aunt who wanted him back, and asked the black haired guy to look for him and get him back. hilise found him first though. when she promised to kill him if he wanted to he cried happy tears which also turn into jewels that allowed her to steal her father's powers, but nobody outside margot's family knows about this power because happy tears are really odd, and their effect is limited to when they were just shed.

since she promised to kill margot if he still wanted to die after spending time with his family being loved, margot adores hilise. their family have the eyes of the truth, so they know when others lie, and he knows hilise is being serious, but they can't read their own family's intentions so he's scared of his family (and likes hilise even more).
