Yes there is the dead sister bit but otherwise this sort of thing can happen. It’s not uncommon for childhood friends to be considered children of their own to both sets of parents. So while some may find it awkward since they aren’t blood related it’s technically not taboo

I want them to be together if their happy, but at the same time its weird even tho she may not be blood related they did grow up as siblings to point the mom said she was her baby too and also she looks exactly like his dead younger sister, thus reason she brought into the household but ain't no one gonna say because they all love her as her now compared to her past life.....so idk this hard
