Agreed, they only saw each other only like 5-6 times so far, while all the others (more so the others besides Angel (is that his name? I can't remember, but it's the short blonde guy)) have seen here countless dozen other times, and on top of that, Daniel seems to have the most inner hatred for her (like he literally wanted to kill her (probably still thinking about it tbh) even without being hired to potential do so, and that hatred came even without having to met her in person!) as well.
Daniel is cool and know his character is interesting, and I was excited for him too, (but damn, if this guy isn't wrapped up in so many layers he could make Shrek feel concerned and offer to pay for a therapist), I don't know if we'll know anything that extremely intriguing about him and his past any time soon), but his character is only just now being unrevealed after being foreshadowed for so long, I thought with that kind of character we would slowly get to know more about him in pieces and that she would have to take more of an effort to figure them out, instead of really only using Daniel himself for that.
It's just... how can anyone with that level of deep rooted hatred and anger (with a taste for violence at that) towards a person (and I believe he also hates the royalty of the country that she's one of, I'm not sure about the entire country itself), start to fall for that said person so quickly?
How can someone who is so private and has wrapped up every little part of his identity and anything concerning it into secrets, begin to let anyone into their life this fast, especially someone they hate and contemplate killing often?
And I'm not sure if he's doing all of this as a trick to get her to trust him, bc as more goes on that seems to be less and less the case...
It doesn't make sense to me. It just doesn't. It's also just underwhelming and a bit disappointing as well, not even so much their relationship (okay, its about the same), but just how they have done Daniel's character so far.
Thanks! It is getting sloppy, it makes me wonder how well the novel it based off itself was written and if they may partly be the reason or not.
Sometimes reading spoilers you can get some idea of the quality of the author's writing from other people's accounts and opinions, but other times it isn't always very clear and it also doesn't help that any translations of said novels almost always get deleted once they get turned into manhwa, so not as many people can read it either. It's been awhile seen I've through the spoiler page for this manhwa/novel (maybe 1-1/2 to 2 months?) and I don't remember anyone really mentioning the quality of novel (though I was searching more for the spoilers themselves so I could have missed it), but I checked the page again today and I'm pretty sure it has more than doubled in size (its about 45 pages now), so someone has probably mentioned it, but it's going to be a bit before I can read through all of it again.
Well, even if the novel was written well or not, I hope that they can correct the path the plot in the manhwa has been going so far at least. At the very least I'm hoping that even if the part where the MC and Daniel fall in is a bit sloppy and rushed (I feel this may also have been pressure from others to get the ML revealed, as well as established quicker, as many people were complaining about it, as in most other romance manhwa or even manga in general tend to present the ML at the start of story or just somewhere near the beginning, and that also includes them meeting for the first time too, even if its within the first 20 chapters, and this story was going on past (what was??? I know we saw glimpses of him here and there a bit, then at the Prince's birthday, but they don't actually met until they're in town in that travern) at least 46 without them meeting at all. But still, I think most people would have understood if they had introduced him differently and/or as we mentioned, just more gradually had them fall for each other and etc.), that the rest of the plot, which sounds really interesting and has some BIG plot twists, is done well and not in the same way that they are currently going with the manhwa at the moment.
Here's the spoiler page by the way: https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/when-the-villainess-loves-%EC%95%85%EB%85%80%EA%B0%80-%EC%82%AC%EB%9E%91%ED%95%A0-%EB%95%8C.112441/
Listen, I was definitely excited for Daniel and I still DO like him- but I completely agree with everyone saying that their relationship is developing way too quickly. For now I still prefer her with the other guys because this is just moving too fast for my taste lol
