Nope it’s super illegal and the fact that someone is so idiotically stupid enough to actual do it is worse. That person can now be sued. Also this isn’t the first time the author has harassed someone, the last person she did it too was over a fan edit.

It only gets worse because the author got access to a picture of the translator, and was spreading it, the translator was a Minor so she can be sued for asking info and trying to reach a Minor, that what I read in the comments, not sure though

Even if the edit was “cool” or just appreciation, if the author does not want others to touch their work, we have to comply. And I think there is a stretch in your explanation about the “harassment” of the author toward the edit maker.
