Nah he’s just probably guilty. He was jealous of arcane and stella i believe. He framed arcane’s family of treason and the reason why arcane is so angry to edward and stella rn is because stella gave arcane’s whereabouts to edward when edward was the one who framed him. Well edgar promised stella that he wont hurt him and she believed him not thinking that he would go as far as killing him

I read it on novel updates that the ML actually really love Dana in the past, but he knows that she sees him like a younger brother.. And before he can really confirm his real feelings for her, past Dana said "Confess to Stella.."..
In the spoilers, it was said that Stella betrayed ML cuz she was mind controlled, Edward(Black haired dude with Stella) actually didn't do the treason framing cuz he was jealous.. I don't remember the details, but the reason was too deep actually..
In the ML's mind, tho Stella was controlled, it didn't change the fact that Dana was killed because of them.. But even so, Arcane chose to make Dana's wish come true.. Dana's wish was for him to be happy with Stella.. That is exactly what happened in the Novel that Dana read...
But in this timeline, Arcane found a way to see Dana alive again..

It seems to me that Edgar loved Dana too? Why is he crying as he accidentally hurts her? Like in all novels it’s not just petty jealousy over love, Edgar could’ve been forced to kill arcane, Arcane said he was framed by higher up nobles, so it must’ve been corrupt nobles who caused this drama to play out.
