If it's okay for them to get married then why they can't? And why is that their brother feel disgusted and forcing Anette to stop their relationship? Maybe in their time, consanguinity is not tolerate.

Because Anette was just a tool to gain political power what do you think will they benefit if they married off Anette to her own brother? Nothing. They can’t get married because they are both powerless when it comes to their father, that’s why John resorts to killing Anette first husband. And about the second question, His brother was disgusted because he was fighting with the devil to be in control with his body, he resisted because he knew that he was not himself. I’m also interested on how this story will end and it will definetly not a happy ending based on the prologue
To all that’s complaining that this is incest you are free to go. This story is in medieval setting for fuck sake and back then it was acceptable to wed your relatives to keep the bloodline pure. I mean it’s not acceptable now obviously but if your going to criticize this well written story because of one little thing you dont like then LEAVE. No one is forcing you to read it.
