Hm i dont think thats the story line at all but idk... this is one of my faves and ive read this maybe 6 or 7 times already... my understanding is that Takahashis role was that he helped uplift and empower the male lead Kyouda to be himself... like he says in ch.3 " thanks to takahasi ive grown up to be in a position to buy gay magazinrs normally " so like Takahashi being the weirdo he is gave confidence to kyouda to be himself... idk im bad at explaining things but im pretty sure that ehat u said isnt the story line... so yea. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Takashi and the Male lead were in love and never spoke of their feelings. Takashi, loved him so much but was afraid to go against society, & married a woman he could love, maybe not as much as the male lead. That’s why when the male lead and our main character meet Takashi & his family, male lead tells him “when the law changes, we’ll be together,” no matter how long they might have to wait. Takashi cries because he’s happy for male lead but sad that if he had been braver he could’ve been standing at Male lead’s side. I don’t blame takashi, people are evil and hateful, he chose the “easier” route I guess
