Lan Zhan didn't know back then that Wei Ying lost his golden core. So Lan Zhan is trying to make Wei Ying return back to 'right' cultivation and abandon the demonic cultivation. Also, in a way, to protect Wei Ying from people trying to/ planning to bring him down
Why does Lan Zhan keep asking WWX to go back to Gusu with him??
