From what I remember it’s because she looks nothing like the duke and the new girl looks like him and can harness the power of the spirits. I think prophetically only 1 daughter is supposed to be able to?
base on the prophecy, the duke was suppose to have only one daughter (who will save the empire or something). If the blonde girl is the real daughter, then the only way the MC can exist is if her mom had sex with someone else, and she was born from it.
It's been a while since this story has updated so I'm a bit confused, why do they think the duchess committed adultery?
Is it something like she had the blonde daughter with the duke, abandoned that daughter and had the black haired daughter with someone else? And then had the son with the duke?? If someone could explain the genealogy to me I'd be thankful
