trans women can still have sex with other women by being bisexual (or any other sexual identity outside of straight), or coming out later in life. Although looking back it’s more likely the character is meant to be a cross dresser not transgender.
Sorry maybe not, this manga has a very complicated relationship with gender. But it all feels very trans to me idk. Cross dressing and being Trans don’t have to intersect but in this case it really feels more than drag, Kaito is trying to change his identity and is uncomfortable with being a man at many points.
