Actually, he didn't dry hump her. She was the one who moved while she was sleeping. I think he just couldn't move as he already had a boner from hugging her.
I don’t think that’s what the novel says. I finished read it a long time ago but I’m pretty sure they had seggs after this scene. So, MAYBE he was dry humping her.

Some might hate the ml because of touching Lucia, who is asleep. But you gotta remember that in this era, their views about marriage and sex are entirely different to what we have now. I’m not justifying it, it’s just what’s normal back in the days.
