I mean, if you could fly to cut down travel time, won't you do it too? It's not like she flew and landed in the middle of the town. She's not that stupid.
Most definitely not especially because someone could see me if they was wondering around and might tell someone else that a witch is around and start a witch hunt but I also could be wrong about how witches are treated in that world
She lives in the middle of the dark forest. She have to fly to get out at least. If the back story is any indication, the commoner would probably just avoid/wary about the witches but they're still in need of their expertise. They're not inherently evil but also not a safe entity. And the place is a rural area far from any bigwigs nonsense.
