yes i totally agree with you. it's not like he's dumb for asking his rapist to date him but its because he's holding to his feeling. he's giving the person he's in love with a second chance, because yes, love is blind. and i honestly like the fact he was rejected. i want to see this, where he stand for himself instead brushing it off when the seme accept his confession. plus declaring all that definitely took a lot of courage.. his way of coping up might be different but he did quite well in standing up for himself.

Tbh it really makes sense to me how Hiro responded. He was assaulted by someone that had feelings for. Maybe he thought that it would be less traumatic or feel like less of a violation of they were in a relationship. I guess it's a backwards way of comforting himself and saying maybe it wasnt really SA. Shit's complicated.
