WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM AAAHHHHHH

It’s been awhile since I read it so I don’t remember if I found out from novel spoilers or the novel itself but the fl threw him away after he “betrayed” her and worked with the other girl to take her away from the house(?) cause he thought that she was miserable there and wanted to leave. She said something like I don’t need a servant who disobeys me and threw the ring away making Eclise go crazy. The actual reason she threw him away is because his favour to her can only reach 99% and never go beyond that which is really shitty cause she’s the one who made him that way. Anyway after that some stuff happened (which I don’t remember) and Eclise lost his memory after which he became a mercenary. When he saw fl he got his strange feeling that he have to protect her and have done that in the shadows ever since, the end for Eclise.
Wasn’t bad enough the author make him the second ml that got abandoned, they had the gal l to make him like some sort of idiot who still love and protect ml even after losing his memories man that’s not romantic it’s just sad why would they do this to him??? Oh well my rant ends here thanks for reading ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I think the reason why the author portrayed Eclise's situation like that was to emphasize that Penelope's decision to speed run the game through Eclise only secured for a route that leads to a bad ending with the said man. The way Penelope's relationship with Eclise was compared to her slow budding relationship with the Crown Prince (who she ended up with) further implies that the only way to reach a 100% favorability and evoke a true confession was through the genuine and natural phenomenon of falling in love, which definitely was not the case with Eclise (THAT WAS CHEESY MY BAD AHJSJFGK).
BUT
that doesn't change the fact I FREAKING CRIED MY HEART OUT BECAUSE OUR POOR BB ECLISE HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT. (╯TДT)╯╧╧. Eclise's story as a Cannon Fodder DEVASTATED ME

I’ve read the novel for this one and dropped it after I found out what happened to Eclise. He’s my fav in the story and the author really have to do him dirty like that #－.－)
