I think Abel couldn't control his power might be the work of the priest. the reason might be to get rid of Hade since he is unstoppable if he meets the FL back then. However, like what the FL said previously, there is hidden information in the novel that she didn't know about when she read it. Maybe the fact that Hade already meets the FL and tried to help her is part of the hidden information, just like the fact that the priest is a bad guy. Somehow the temple knew about it and increase the dosage of the pills to brainwash her. That is just my theory (〜￣△￣)〜
