I know I told my mother yesterday I can’t see a circumstance where you’d have to use physical disciple with a child unless it was extreme and even then so I hope you guys don’t scream to beat them because children reflect their parents but thanks not forgivable and he does need to be punished for the violence/classicism/racism towards her like I was so mad

The key word is extreme. And this is one such case. Honestly tho, more than physically punishing the child punishing the parents for the kids mistakes seem more effective. Not only cuz they see there are consequences for their acts and adults are not free of it but forces the parents to see their wrongs in raising the kids.
But I won't deny my wish to see that lil sheet beaten. At least grounded and separated from his parents.

I think beaten is a strong word a child should never be beaten it usually hurts more than it helps I’ve seen it first hand he can be punished and reprimanded the ones who need to worst punishment is the parents like I said in my first comment

Yeah... I did agree with you tho?
But he does irates me. If beaten is a strong word to you think of it as spanked. In this case in particular the physical punishment is more for him to understand the concepts of pain and liability.
I'll give you a personal example.
I have a younger sis. 5y younger. My parents baby. The spoiled one I couldn't raise my hand against even in self defense. And she took all advantage of that that she could. Till I snapped and fought back. Needless to say by the end after slaps and spanks she never tried anything again. Obviously my parents were seething... so I tore them a new one on their poor job as parents and that they should be thankful that it was me and not some bigger kid outside that hit her or she would end in the hospital. I also made sure to explain to her why she was being hit.
As I said. The keyword is extreme. Be it in extreme actions (anger and violence issues in my sister's case) or behavior like that kid's. It's important to understand that sometimes talks, grounding and even punishing parents does not change the child's behavior. And that there's a big difference between physical punishment and physical abuse.
In his case in particular and because of his parents behavior I don't think grounding or parent punishing would help. If anything it would backlash and make him worse.
Those are in the perspective of dealing with children. Now as a reader and a fictional character I would love to see him being punched in the face. Maybe letting the twins vent their anger in him since in that setting being totally pacifist is not a good trait... they were sword training after all... and it would show the twins in whick occasions violence is acceptable. Again, in a fictional setting, not in reality ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Personally I think even in a fictional setting a child shouldn’t be punched in the face by an adult at least if it’s kids fighting that’s different an older person has to much strength a power. I’m sorry about your sister really but to explain where I’m coming from I have two examples one is about my dad he was beat regularly as a child and even though he swore to never hit his own children and he never has broken that promise he still is affected by what happened to him in his childhood with anger issues and pride problems plus toxic masculinity all because he was beaten as a child to me I’ve seen so many cases where even if you justify physical violence towards children that’s just something I can never accept and I stand by saying it’s something that just shouldn’t be done even if it gets them to stop because you have to think what does that have to say about the person that would hit a child self defense is something different but an older person will always over power a child so it’s kind of set who would win a fight and my younger sister harassed me a lot as a child she even pushed me down the stairs twice but I never got violent with her in my case my parents didn’t do the same as yours and always punished her but never hit her also because of my dads promise no matter what she did and she was incredibly bad one thing my mother always said is that you can’t force anyone to change even children you can only teach them and hope that they grow violence won’t work if a person/child doesn’t think what they’re doing is wrong and it can even make them more upset plus there is a price with fear I can’t judge your circumstance and if you think violence was your answer then I can’t judge that either I just stand by my opinion usually a child won’t see violence as a way to help them or get them to stop rather simply to cause them pain

Every circumstance is a different circumstance. And we do have different experiences. But you see you don't differentiate physical abuse and physical punishment. Punishment without explanation and teaching is just violence.
I'm sorry about your experiences too. By what you said what your parent went through is closer to physical abuse under the guise of teaching and he should seek counseling to deal with the scars that left him. On the other hand your sister's behavior was the extreme you yourself mentioned and it seems no matter how much your parents admonished her it had no effect. Probably because that was the only consequence of her acts. Her harassing you outweighed the consequences of her doing so. Instead you were taught to tolerate her acts of violence towards you, to the point you didn't defend yourself to not use violence against her. I do hope she has grown well after it but I can't help but question what your parents would have done if instead of you she did the same with one of her classmates.
You see, to me phisical punishment is not about using violence to try to fix someone but showing them that there are consequences and the gravity of them varies with their actions. Your sister pushing you down the stais (not only once) is where id drawn the line on she deserved a spanking. I'm not judging the circumstances of your family but just telling an outsiders perspective on it.
You see ideologically the waiting till they grow and understand what's wrong and right is ok. Unfortunately in reality that's not how it really works. It's sad but what makes most of people abstain from doing the wrongs is not their ethics and moral, but the knowledge that they are liable to punishment and consequences. Either by police, by being sued or even facing consequences after death for religious people.
All in all let's agree on disagreeing... oh and by the punching I meant by Tia or one os the twins, not an adult.

I can fully agree to disagree but not with the first statement I clearly know the difference between abuse and the use of physical punishment but physical punishment is a subset of abuse it’s just abuse with a reason or violence with a “reason” if you want to justify it that way I’m in general not a violent person as much as I know some people can’t be changed by taking and it may have no affect on them its not the choice I’d make in any situation no matter how bad it gets for my sister waiting for her to see what she did was wrong after my parents punishing her did work sorry I should have been more clear punishing her without spankings or violence did get her to stop I should have said that before. You said that waiting until they grow isn't realistic and I understood your reasons but can’t the opposite be said as well when you use violence to counteract violence that can also show a person that it’s the only way to handle things or them using violence is “right” in the first place because someone else is willing to do it as well I mentioned before how when people are willing to hit children or use violence what it says about them as well as the person who hit them but like you said it circumstances I guess we can’t agree on this topic but it’s okay sorry if I said anything that offend you I absolutely didn’t want to downplay your story or trauma but idk if you see it as trauma so I hope that’s not offensive

Also thanks for clearing up about the adults and the twins I forgot to say it wasn’t that I was taught to tolerate her violence against me my parents actually told me if anyone ever harassed me or physically hurt me I should hit them back but to me that never makes sense because it just creates a circle or violence and I realized when I was little I don’t want to waste my energy of fighting or anger it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things and always causes pain if history is what we’re going by I did defend myself just not with my hands I didn’t want to be anything like her or I guess stoop to her level again but if others do it I don’t judge because again circumstances and that’s just life humans are complicated creatures to each their own but just because that’s how things are or it’s what’s done because it’s more realistic doesn’t mean it’s right who knows maybe I’m just dumb

No problem sweetie. I understand your views on it. And I'd like to make clear the physical punishment is a last resort. I'm glad you and your parents were able to stop her on your terms. To put it in other way a child doing something potentially harmful to someone else repeatedly despise multiple warnings and groundings or when they understand the wrongs and harms of an act and persist on doing it ignoring the grounding and admonishment as consequences is where I drawn the line in accepting physical punishment. While at it I'll also clarify that by this kind of punishment I meant more of a light spanking in the bum and a confrontation/explanation on why that is being done. At most some ear pulling or using something else in place of hands on the light spanking in case of teenagers. More than that (unless they have committed what would be considered a crime if they were older) would go to the physical abuse category. So instead of saying you confuse it the correct would be saying we have different standards and definitions about it. And don't worry I didn't feel offended as much as I hope you also didn't feel it about what ive said...
