Because she has precognition and literally foresaw it herself? Just like Pryde did in the game? Just like the Queen did (multiple times)? Just like Tiara does (twice)?
There's a reason this girl's suicidal, and it's not because she played a videogame three years ago.
I might just refer it in my way of logic. But, while she has that precognition talent, she might thought that there's some kind of manipulation which she can't even determine her own mine. Thus, she think, whatever and however it occurs to her become a future-villain, it's no matter, and she'll try to protect the others first as prevention (if that future would ever happen)
Ikr I feel like the girl became a villainess because the mother started avoiding. Isn’t in the case of most villainess where either one of the family members treat them bad. Also the fact that the mother gave birth to a new girl kept it a secret from the fl for 6years like??. I want the mother to suffer a bit
She hid the younger daughter's existence because Tiara was sickly and there was a chance of her being abducted or killed because of political unrest. Unrest that still exists. Less than ten people knew about Tiara, period. (You do not trust two-year-olds to keep secrets that could KILL PEOPLE if those secrets get out.)
And Rosa suffered. A lot. Extremely so. Pryde just doesn't know about it yet. In the novel, Pryde doesn't find out her mother's suffering until she turns sixteen, and she doesn't realize HOW MUCH her mother suffered until she's eighteen. (Her mother has precognitive visions a minimum of once per week, and apparently had enough visions about Pryde that she was able to pinpoint WITHIN TWO WEEKS that those Pryde-related visions had stopped. Her visions were vivid, clear and MEMORABLE, which in-universe signifies that THEY ARE GOING TO HAPPEN. Will happen, not "might".)
Those visions about Pryde becoming a villainess ruined her life: Rosa was so traumatized that she couldn't even raise TIARA, the "chosen one." She had to let the nannies raise her because she was terrified of ruining her. She only came to visit her for an hour or two every few weeks, just to educate her as a princess. YES, that is more time than she spent with Pryde, but it isn't a LOT of time.
I like the story and the characters, except for the mother. But it's starting to get annoying that MC is a 100% sure that she will become evil. Like it's set in stone. She already changed so much, why would she still think that?!
