It wasn't betrayal from.sunbae but eunsung :) he got pissed at sunbae because he was jealous.

He's a rival alright, but to eunsung, he's a rival for soohyun, and for soohyun, he is wary of him because eunsung chose to meet the sunbae and he thinks he's going to be replaced since sunbae is more experienced than him at this. Anyway, soohyun is way in too deep with eunsung to look at anyone else so it's not gonna happen.
Sunbae and shinhae are a couple in the korean fandom though (≧∀≦)

Ah yes. It has been hinted, it is both. He doesn't trust this sunbae and wanted to know exactly how much soohyun has told him about the situation, but also because soohyun has told him that he had the sunbae bite his neck before he went to see park mun-seop...also in the latest chapters, eunsung was quite cleverly calling out minseok for his obsession over soohyun (there was a lot of tension between them) as rivals of course.
Soohyun was just upset at sunbae because he was taking his place (in his eyes) by being "useful" to eunsung. (Also because he was jealous that eunsung was relying on someone other than him)
There is a miscommunication error haha...between eunsung and soohyun over sunbae.

The meeting is going to be in a new place with shinhae and the creepy eyes dude, and soohyun.
He's probably working for park moonseop, since he's the guy who kissed eunsung at the first meeting between eunsung and soohyun, and also the one who punches him at the exhibition, and now this. I'm guessing eunsung isn't going to be happy about him being there with soohyun...at the least he'll be concerned since he suspects him to be munseop's little bitch. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

What about the first few panels with the keychain/fallen box? I gather it is some sort of metaphor but have no idea what for. It could signify the past but I haven't found the keychain from previous chapters (I'm not that attentive so might have missed them tho) or predict the future like some unraveling/bad shit happening? What are your take on it?

Ah, it hasn't occured before in the story. (The keychain) You're right. However, soohyun has mentioned that he doesn't want to eunsung to enter his house because it is a place that is full of things that has traces of his "pathetic past self" ...so, uhm, the box contained the keychain, a diary, and a glasses case (he didn't throw away his old glasses it seems) and he is unable to let go of his past (like eunsung also realized when he saw the same mechanical pencil from their high school days that's soohyun still uses) the korean checkmate fandom on twitter is theorizing that it could be a gift from soohyun's younger sister (that was in the flashback) or it could probably something related to eunsung haha...most probably that though we don't know yet.
Soohyun was solemn when looking at it because he hates reminders of his past but he can't move past it...let's hope eunsung can pull him out of his hatred of those days or make up for it somehow hahaha

Guess they didn't know how to censure the upcoming car action, so they suddenly decided to mature it. Which is a wise decision. Very wise! (▰˘◡˘▰)

Actually, the dialogues have been censored a lot as well because it has a lot of swear words (especially by soohyun and minseok (sunbae))
So in the mature version, they will include them so the dialogues will probably be more cohesive I hope.
Haha the car scene is soooooo good hahaha I personally liked the bathroom scene more since it was more pivotal to their relationship which went to the next level there, but I love the car scene a lot because soohyun is the one who initated the sex in broad daylight (though he was adamant about not having sex in a car before) by putting eunsung in a corner and then ended up being completely defeated by eunsung ahahaha also the coat conversation in the car is really the cutest! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

I don't know what they thought when they first decided to make this story Shounen Ai, especially when it contains rape, blackmail, humiliation and the rest of the unpleasant things. I mean, they had much more explicit and stupid manhwas than this one.
Do not get me wrong, it is not all about hot stuff, but as you said they censured the text, which immediately soften the story which is not and it should not be. The story is a harsh reality that happens in the world, currently in my country, so people should be aware of sick perverts all around and what they do. This is such a well written real-life story with a flawless art, and it should not be cut in any way.
Can't wait to see more what happened and what will happen. It's so good! They will heal each other wounds in future, because both of them are damaged by people around them.

Exactly. I can understand that people may have complaints due to the nature of the story but in all honesty, they need to suck it up or stop reading. This isn’t like the rest of the bls where rape, blackmail and the humiliation isn’t for nothing. Those unpleasant things have true purpose to the overall story which makes it that much more exciting. This story needs those aspects for the big picture but some people aren’t thinking that far. Another thing that I love is the name, ‘checkmate’. The author has made it very clear that our mc is a strategist and has really designed the characters similar to chess pieces. I’d go on but it’ll be too long haha
