my sentiment exactly! i'm very sad that he couldn't see it until the end! GAWD WHY! and just a little more, he could have seen the basement too! more than anyone else it is erwin that wanted to know the truth since he was still a child! /sobs

I wasn't super sad when Erwin died (he wasn't my favorite character but I didn't hate him), but now I feel bad that he couldn't have his "I knew it all along" moment. For years, he's been saying that there's probably humans out there and now we find out he was right all along. I wanted him to have that moment of confirmation.
