Tell her it to her straight that you ARE going to be studying in fashion and that you WILL continue it. Don't let her boss you around. Just tell it to her straight. If she keeps telling you its stupid or whatever...refuse to listen to her and say once again YOU ARE going to do fashion/marketing.
If she's mad at u, she mad at you, it's your choice of what you want to do/study. I mean if you chose to really do something stupid then she has a right, but this is NOT something stupid.

First thing is. Do you know what YOU want to do? Second thing is... Sometimes it's not that easy ( and maybe this is what your family is trying to say) . BUT that doesn't mean you can't try. Do it! Do what you can! Everything you can!
You just need to know what you want to do, don't let her talk down on you.
Also if your mother or father or even just a friend is supporting you, then that's already amazing. Don't care about what your aunt thinks, who is she even.
I know that feeling very well just like my parents told me few years ago that studying fashion won't get me anywhere, they want me to study other major as what they always say that "they know what best for me" in the end I took other major and you know what? I regret it that I can't convince them that time! So, if you really want to study fashion tell them properly about it! show them that you're serious about it! Just think that this is the first challenge for you (cause you know there is no easy way to get what you want right?!there are a lot of hurdles!). (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Do what you want to do. Your family may actually just be worried for you and are just as frustrated as you are about why you can't see it the way they do, and vice versa. But if you let others choose for you and things go wrong, you will probably feel twice as anguished, than if you only had yourself to blame, for a choice only you picked. If you're going to pursue anything, especially without the helpful support of those close to you, be prepared to work twice as hard and put in more effort than perhaps others pursuing the same. And PLEASE, PLEASE remember that from EVERY failure, you must learn something, so that you don't make the same mistake twice. Success is something you achieve after many failures(and much learning). And once you achieve that success, you have to keep working hard to maintain it. Don't let little failures hurt your resolve! I wish you the best of luck in doing what YOU want to do! : D
so im in highschool im a senior and i take classes for marketing and fashion that's what im most interested in and today my aunt came and asked me what im doing so i told her and basically told me to cut the crap because fashion isnt going to take me anywhere then she asked me what i wanted to do i told her that i wasnt sure yet but then she lectured me on how i need to know and have a plan ready because people that arent mexican ( im mexican by the way ) already have a plan and if i dont somehow a guy is going to seduce me and get me pregnant and if you knew me i have never been with a guy ever never kissed hell not even talked to a guy in a romantic way so for her to assume that im going to end up like that really hurts me that my family thinks im like that and that there not supportive about my decisions it's so unfair that there not even giving me a chance to do what i want i know they probably think saying this crap to me is going to help me but fuck them it's a shame you can't pick your family when your family is a bunch of losers ╥﹏╥ (╬￣皿￣)凸
