i really don’t wanna seem rude cus i actually don’t know what it’s like to have DID but, not even based on the way he was acting or his emotions, didn’t Haru actually have an alter inside of him. Like we actually witnessed it talking to him right? I don’t really know how to explain it, but DID is explained online as “ at least two distinct and relatively enduring personality states. The disorder is accompanied by memory gaps beyond what would be explained by ordinary forgetfulness.” which is exactly what haru has right? Once again, i apologise if i’m wrong i don’t mean to be rude to anyone with DID, i’m just going based off of what i’ve read online.

That’s how most people become Informed about mental health disorders, from online. And there is no one size fits all to mental health conditions. It varies by person, trigger, etc. I personally have BPD (borderline personality disorder) and I do not relate to every way that BPD supposedly manifests. So long as you aren’t asking in malice/you are aware that your source is not a first hand experience/personal relation and claiming It is, I think it’s fine to ask. Funnily enough, it’s often people who don’t have any mental health issues at all that catch the most offense
