(I think I got a little carried away with my thoughts here, sorry for the long ass text lol)
Nah, I'm actually welcoming any kind of abuse if it serves the plot well and is really adding something. For example when Sulhwa lost her shit, I think it really added to the character, she wasn't exactly that fragile puppy who wouldn't ever betray her master anymore, and we learned another face of her.
But here first it doesn't add much to Huilin except the fact she's lost in her life but we already knew, but even without considering that, the whole thing seem so rushed :
<Jaehee wakes up to Huilin in trance trying to roleplay with her(wait what ?) and sexually assault her>
<Jaehee suddenly realize in about few seconds she doesn't want to hurt sulhwa anymore, that she doesn't want to give in this drug anymore(that was quick all of a sudden..) and she tries to run away>
<Huilin smiles like the villain of a fantasy story, and grab jaehee preventing her from escaping>
I expected more maturity, it doesn't mean less evilness, just more maturity and complex resolution..
From everything that happened what for me was logical to happen and should have happened is after the kiss Jaehee and Huilin to have a serious talk, Jaehee realizing how much Huilin loved her and was attached to her, while she(jaehee) was only thinking about herself.(That would have cleared the huilin/jaehee ending and give huilin stans justice, rather than putting the whole character in the ground)
She would have been lost and confused, the story continues, but eventually she realizes she cannot be with Huilin because what that wouldn't been true love feelings but rather possessiveness, that's why Jaehee left her the first time and I wanted her to really word it this time, to tell Huilin it.
Then maybe Huilin could have gone a little bit crazy and try to bring her close and kiss her then Jaehee would slap her and Huilin would come to realisation how messed up she turned out and would apologize and left her alone.
Then Jaehee would have went back to Sulhwa and she(sulhwa) would have noticed she was really depressed, Sulhwa being a a little immature and insecure would start yelling but Jaehee would this time be the mature person and tell her everything that happened.
Sulhwa would be out of words, realizing how stupid she was to raise her voice, Jaehee would appear finally mature and having the higher moral ground.
And then their relation would only go for the best from here.
That's just an example of what would have been a more mature story. Rather than Warlord Huilin suddenly raping her, and seemingly being completely crazy, like wth it's not some japanese shonen...
To put it more clearly : I'm sad Huilin character ended up that way, she had some kind of mysterious mature aura before, now she looks like some dumb "eViL wArLoRd eDgIe" typical shonen character.
I'm so disappointed. I want Jaehee x Sulhwa but I actually liked Huilin character a lot and now not anymore it's completely ruined
hm, i totally get it. i liked huilin too, and we've been reassured because jaehee finally said that they're over. although, huilin doesn't seem to like that decision as to why she reacted that way. still, she became a fucking rapist in an instant.
i was also expecting them to talk it out, but maybe jaehee will slap her in the next chap. that might be the moment where huilin will wake up and realize that she did something awful, and maybe the talk will also take place. tho i'm really worried cuz she left a mark on jaehee's boob. if sulhwa sees that, she might act on an impulse. it's best for jaehee to inform sulhwa abt what happened so she won't act hastily.
She already slapped her in this chapter and Huilin still didn't wake up, I guess she can slap her again....... but well, it's kind of boring.
"i'm really worried cuz she left a mark on jaehee's boob. if sulhwa sees that, she might act on an impulse."
HAHAHAHA wait if after Warlord Huilin we get Warlord edgie Sulhwa I'm really going to lose it.
Definitely Sulhwa. The only reason it wouldn't be her is if Sulhwa is deemed insincere. That's the only possible way out of Sulhwa x Jaehee, there hasn't been any other reason hinted before.
Why does Sulhwa love Jaehee, why is she obsessed with her. Is it really love ? If it isn't, then they don't end up together, if it's they do.
But remember chapter 23 from Lilith 1 ? I feel like when someone exterior claim something about another character, in such confident stance, it means it has to be true. If her friends said her love is sincere I have no doubt it is.
So I don't see any other ending than Sulhwa x Jaehee
Y'all act like Jaehee did anything wrong here, she's completely drunk, lost, and having existential crisis and Huilin just coming and taking profit of the situation.
It's not Jaehee's fault, Huilin should not have done that. + Jaehee did not exactly reciprocate the kiss, look at the last panel how she is standing and her arms.
We'll have to see the following panels in the next chapter to be sure it's heading that way, but imo there are two possible scenarios for next chapter :
- Jaehee pulls off, and have a real conversation with Huilin.(or she just pass out lol)
or
- Jaehee doesn't do anything but she shows she is feeling bad, Huilin see it and doesn't take it further, and they have a talk another day after Jaehee cleared her thoughts.
If you remember Chapter 56, and even many chapters before, Jaehee hints that she needs to overcome her relationship with Huilin, because it's toxic and only something she uses to get away from reality. In order to become a better person she will have to put an end to it for good.
Another thing giving credit to this, is that in this chapter she thinks back to the question Sulhwa asked "Why did you leave Huilin?", we kind of know why but Jaehee never vocalized it, so plot-wise it's a hint it's going to be answered, and now is the perfect time.
