like if a main character falls off a really high building and survives that means they have plot armor. they should be dead but for the sake of the plot they survive
Plot armor just means that the main character(s) are prevented from serious injury/death because if they were seriously injured/died, the plot could not continue and the story would end. Usually involves the character(s) inexplicably surviving something that should have killed them.
It hasn’t been long since I got actually into anime and I’ve been seeing that the fandoms that I belong to (mostly shonen ones)talk a lot about plot armor and debate wether it has ir hasn’t and here I am not knowing what it is,I tried to google it but nothing seems to make sense, what’s exactly plot armor or plot armour? if anyone could explain me I would appreciate it!
