This. I really like her character again, don't get me wrong. But you know how tragedies get you in a way that happy endings simply don't. Either way I am really liking this so far. And am really looking forward to her and her husband's relationship development. How they will mend their broken past. And, obviously, with her son as well. I like that this is not all easy going, there are lots of set-backs and instances upon which she has to try again and again in order to regain his trust. Really engaging!
I came here expecting fluff and some mother/son bonding time, and was given a truck load of generational and political thrill and tragedies. I ain't complaining, give me more. Low-key hoping that she dies at the end tho. I just want to feel the angst, you know? But I doubt it'll happen because: plot armor, QED. But a man can dream, right?
