I AMMMMM THEMMMMMM. even if your friends say it's okay doesnt mean it is? i am gay myself, it's weird. both of us have conflicting opinions but as long as you understand what i'm trying to say then i dont mind yours. in my opinion, i completely agree with the person you replied to before. you may not, but if you understand why we disagree, then let's leave it at that! i'm not being a hypocrite, i just find it weird. notice how i said "I". anyways even if i tell you its weird i doubt you'd stop so lol leave it at that

You clearly do not know the meaning of sexualising and go ahead using it carelessly. It is perfectly normal to have an opinion but it is not okay to discourage other people from liking something.
First and foremost, it is only natural for a woman to be attracted to the opposite sex, and so is being attracted to two members of the opposite sex having sexual intercourse. Same goes for the man. One can be straight but enjoy seeing girls/men engage sexually with one another. One can also like both, because liking both men and women is human nature.
Second of all, people have got their likes and dislikes, and we should let whoever like whatever without critisising them, frankly because it is none of our business and everyone is allowed to have their own sexual fantasies. This is the primary reason, and starting point that is basically overlooked by everyone on the internet because it is thought that we can be rude to whoever we'd like to owing to the fact that we can hide ourselves behind a screen and unlearn how to human.
Lastly, I do not know how you cannot sexualise yuri and yaoi, when the main theme surrounding them and quite literally complementing them is sexual activity. They are meant to be seen in a sexual light. They are meant to make people horny and masturbate. Get over it; I hope you have a nice self-reflective rest of the day.

Although there ARE people who fetishize gay men through yaoi not everyone reads yaoi in the same way / for the same reasons. I’d assume most readers fully realize that yaoi relationships aren’t reflective of actual real life gay couples. As a straight girl I read yaoi but in my mind it exists in its own universe; I don’t expect that real gay men are like what I read in yaoi and why should I because it’s none of my business. Yaoi is fictional just like yuri and hetero mangas, all of which I also read. Even though I’m straight I enjoy all 3 of these genres because the reason I read them is because of the characters and their stories and relationships with one another. That’s the enjoyable part.
I’ve imagined straight men reading yuri and it doesn’t bother me as long as they accept that those stories don’t neccessarily reflect reality just as I have. Stories are stories. Some yaoi/yuri ARE so gross and disrespectful (as I’m sure we all know with the amount of noncon and toxic relationships) that they in themselves would be considered fetishization, and thus a reader enjoying and approving it would be as well. Its the toxic/fetishizing mangas that are the real problems. Not all yaoi/yuri are created equally. If the story is unrealistic but portrays a healthy relationship, and the reader acknowledges that, what’s the problem?

As the person who created the comment in the first place, I just want to clarify that however you'd want to express an opinion, I honestly can respect it and not have to explain myself since I never implied any bad intentions!
If you've read my comment, clearly, I did not just specifically want yaoi/yuri genres. It was to let anyone who was willing to recommend me a story, have an idea that I do not care what its genre is anyway.
And MIND YOU ALL; I asked for recommendations of not "yaoi and yuri desires", but just the idea of 2 characters that lose it when they embrace each other. Their "desire" for each other, by no any means of their sexuality, but just that. I didn't want no left and right wing arguments of a simple comment.

If I can shed a bit of light, the genres of yaoi and yuri's demographic is completely off. Yaoi's audience is originally marketed for women, yet the idea of men reading is totally acceptable! As well as Yuri, it was originated as a genre targeted towards a female audience, but yuri works have been produced that to target a male audience. If you're wondering, then what about the "intended for actual gay men" or "just for men", Bara was the concept of "actual gay manga for gay people". Things change, as well as the audience.
If you really want to talk about the wrongs of "fetishizing sexuality", there's plenty of ways people express them through such as: manga, fanfics, arts, roleplay, cosplay, clubs, communities, etc. Unless you have such a deep issue regarding this, then shall you take it up to EVERY person that does read yaoi or yuri? Take it up to the creators of this site? Take it up to the very authors that created the mOrAlLy wRonG genre?
Why take it to me, a simple commenter, when there's literal thousands who does the same? As well as the fetishizing bit, we readers do draw lines between reality and fantasy. Some may not, but a healthy amount don't read it because they want it in real life, lol. You have a twisted way of trying to sound as if any person who reads such a genre, is dirt and disgusting. When in a counter sense, if someone were to read about murder and whatnot, deep down they're a murderer? Please. Don't insult other readers bc they don't share your perspective. It makes you look like ignorant asf, lol.

If by any chance you ARE gay and you've never agreed to the confines of how yaoi portrays your sexuality, then by all means, I am sorry for that. Yet again, the objectification of how gay men are portrayed is within the limits of imagination and not intentional harm.
Don't try to speak for the men who identifies as homosexual or by any means anyone, by just attacking those with different interests. Sincerely.
Is it just me or when they have sex , theyre expressions are so intense, like DEADASS INTENSE AND SO HOT!
Someone pls recommend me desire like this~ Yaoi, yuri, idc. I think I discovered a kink???
Edit: AAAA WHY IS THERE CONFLICT
