Yeah but also see it from her point. If she reveals it was all a lie he might get so upset and her social standing would decline, a woman in that era can’t survive if everyone dislikes her. She is looking out for herself but honeslty why would she care for a man she doesn’t love or know over herself ?

im frustrated because renee seems like she's taking the idea of "having an affair" into consideration. Yes, she doesnt like cabel yet but I feel so bad for cabel because he really is so selfless and is making an effort to try to win her,, but here she is, making this whole "affair" thing as her second option. If she likes elvin so much then go ahead and stop making cabel put all his efforts and sincerity in vain
