Have u read any of their work? This is the same author that wrote that story about the guy who branded the face of the other so he attractive anymore and made him a mindless sex slave. Also, the same person who wrote the story about the dad fucking his kid and the kid loving him. I’ve read BL for a very long time and the first fucked up thing I ever read was by ogawa chise lol. This is one of their most tame stories. It’s like reading harada and being surprised there’s abuse in it.

I think if you’re wondering why authors feel ok to write stories like this it’s because in the east all fiction is just fiction. There’s a notion that no fictional content can ever bring harm to a real person of have real world consequence (with Japan taking this to the most extreme. At least Korea has anti shota/loli rhetoric and looks upon that sort of content with disdain. Japan enthusiastically accepts it. Even the ridicule and shaming of Shota/lolicons is part of the kink and they all seem to believe it’ll never have real world consequences. This extends to how women are treated in hentai (pretty much always raped. 0 consent.) and then by extension of that, how ukes are treated in BL. The rape/non-con is just a trope and they don’t think it means anything apart from that. You see it even bleed into other genres. Like in Wotakoi when Hirotaka is sexually harassed Narumi says “kyaa~ give me the details”. Also this goes like way waaaaay back to how yaoi or BL was first even established in the 90s. BL has never really been about GAY MEN. Never ever. At least in Japan. It’s mostly about 2 men women want to see fuck. Sexuality be damned.
