Thank you for saying this! I was going to say it, if someone else didn't. I had the same thing happened to me too. This one guy would not take no for an answer. He pursued me for YEARS! My friends even got involved too, telling him to back off. I don't think it was until I was finally in a relationship that he stopped..it's not cute guys...we aren't playing hard to get...no means no.
Well persistent does pay sometime. It happened to a friend of mine. He was in love with a girl, confessed to her but got rejected, but he didn’t stop. He just kept on trying, showing her how sincere his feeling and always be there for her (not annoyingly pursuing her imo). Now they are married for 8 years already with a cute son ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Umm so can we address this everpresent fucked up notion (esp in these mangas) that the secretary just gave the FL?
Like in this story we know (because we see his perspective) that the ML “likes her” or whatever, but like… if someone actually rejects you, leave them the fuck alone after that? Pursuing and constantly making advances towards someone who rejected you (like the secretary did) is psycho bitch behaviour and basically harassment. They rejected you for a reason (whatever it is), move the fuck on. What the secretary did (which was implied she did with her now husband no less) was basically break a person down so that they’re too tired to say “no” anymore, which is so fucked up? I have been pursued after rejecting a guy, and no- it was not “cute”- it was creepy, exhausting and irritating. I say this regardless of gender, anyone constantly pursuing someone after getting a clear rejection is a shitty human being.
No means fucking no. Stop acting like a kid who didn’t get his favourite toy and move on.
