So much has already been said about these two. I just want to add that it feels like there's no real love between the 2 leads. After kicking the bitch to the curb, ML needed a quick replacement and conveniently enough, he had one close by. Furthermore, dense as he is, he's blind to her love for him, thinks they're just friends and behaves as such (with just one exception - the bath incident which can be taken as an accident). And throughout most of the manga, he's rude and insulting towards her. So where's the love? When did it happen? Did her being a medalist suddenly make her worthy of him and/or his love? If so, is that really love? Isn't she as a person lovable enough? Also, it felt like he presumptuously considered their wedding a done deal as he went ahead and took her parents' permission for a visit (without FL's permission). Not because he thinks she loves him (he's still unaware of that, and seems not to care if she does) but because she's poor and wouldn't refuse to marry him as he's rich! It's like he indirectly said: "Marry me, I'm rich, you and Jack will get to visit your parents anytime you want." Isn't that coercing her into marrying his money? (And here we are, criticizing the bitch for trying to marry for money. Well girl, bad luck. Only he gets to choose who will marry him for his money!) He didn't even ask her if she loves him/would come to love him, didn't propose to date first (atleast for a few days) and then marry. No. It's straight to marriage. Get this: they met after 11 years and knew each other for hardly a couple of weeks. Conclusion: ML is not romantically inclined. He's a stupid, blind, dense, unromantic, opportunistic AH who doesn't know shit about anything human - feelings included. So I found it funny when he stated that he loved FL (indirectly, pls note) as that is the only instance he ever uttered the word 'love' or even gave consideration to it. NOPE, I don't believe in him or in his brand of 'love'.
P.S. Being a good cook is a compulsory requirement for a "good" wife, is it? Can't a good cook turn out to be a "bad" wife? Also, since when was cooking a requirement for the rich? Huh? Why not admit you want a housekeeper-cum-nanny for a wife, Mike? Adding deviously stingy to your list of brilliant qualities.
