Finally someone who gets it!!!!
I have been writing how Seth was hurt by his family but that didn't mean he had to kill all those people. Those people didn't hurt him. I still don't understand why Seth doesn't like Isis when she did nothing to him either. Seth is the one who killed her husband (Osiris deserved it) then Seth went to her and demanded they share a bed because Osiris was dead and when she refused Seth hunted her to kill her and her baby.(⊙…⊙ ) I know why Seth doesn't like her NOW but in past she didn't anything to him. Seth should be mad at Osiris and Nephthys and no one else.
I feel like no one cares for Anubis not even seth. No one even knows where Anubis half the time. They didn't know he turned into a GOD!!! In the story he is always walking around by his self he always seems so lonely. His mother abandon him and both his fathers abandon and abuse him. Horus is his brother but he is jealous of him.At least Horus and Isis have each other but Anubis does't have anyone.
Horus is useless , he does't add anything to the story. He could be cut from the story and it wouldn't affect anything. I don't even think Seth likes him. I think Seth still loves Nepththy because through out all of this he was still thinking about her. I think he would forgive her if she said sorry and time heals all. I wouldn't be mad if he ended up with her and because deep down Seth wants his old family back.
┗( T﹏T )┛ tears
Yeah, I think Set might be able to reconcile with her one day but I don't think it can ever return back to the old times especially when she admitted that she actually loved Osiris in front of the Scale of Truth and Anubis called her out on why she didn't leave Set, that being more of guilt then of love. Set's romantic love for Nepththy seem one-sided for now. This is just my theory but I think Ra was hinting at something when she was talking about marriage and the issue of romantic love. I feel like in some way maybe Anubis will be able to get his father and mother back but it be something like a modern day separate platonic kind of marriage possibly. But yeah when Anubis was talking to Set about going back to the old day with him and his mother I got so emotional ╥﹏╥. On another note, I agree that Horus comes off a little bland, other then his adoration/obsession with Set, he isn't built upon much. I hope that if Horus ends up as the main love interest and/or is more of a integral part of the story, that they build his character up more. Kinda hopeful of because now he's the king of Egypt, so what are going to be his actions as king and how will he face the truth about his father and Hathor which we know from myth is his consort.
and how is it wrong. What does Horus bring to the story, he is a forgettable character.
He could be cut and it would not change a thing. What is Horus goal, everyone has a goal except for him. In fact the story would be better if it focused more on seth finding the souls. I guess the author realized that because Horus is no where to be found in the raws. Welp
Er... I think you0re right when you talk about Isis, but when talking about everyone else, you seem to have many misunderstandings. For example, saying Horus doesn't have a role in season 2... I don't know what makes yu think that, I mean, you DO know there's a already an official trailer of season 2, and that Horus shows up in it, don't you? *facepalm* ...Horus already appeared in the trailer the author made for season 2: it shows he will take care of Seth throughout his journey (probably even without Seth's knowlege) by either following him around in falcon form, and/or by keeping tabs on him through a falcon whose eyes he can see through.
And, what do you mean Horus can be taken away from the story? What about the REAL LIFE mythology that this story was based on, where Horus has a VITAL role? Are you seriously suggesting the author twisted the original myth so much, that they reduced the role of one of that myth's main characters?? ...But what basis do you have for that, even?? As for this story itself, *even bigger facepalm* if Horus has such a non consequential role, then who else brought Seth's wife, Neftys, to testify in Seth's favor at Seth's trial? Who spared Seth from having to tell the world about his rape? Who told Anubis how to become a god, inducing him to share the curse on his arm with Seth, making Seth lose the third match? And whose sexual encounter with Seth made Osiris so jealous, that Osiris decided to start persecuting Seth again, trying to take him back with him to Duat, every chance he got, and getting Seth to unwittingly curse Anubis' arm??
Man, I did try to understand where you were coming from, but for the live of me, I honestly don't get it... It's ok if you dislike Horus for Anubis' sake, or something like that... but if that's the case, the arguments you're using to make your points are completely unrelated, and confusing.
This is what you wrote
Are you seriously suggesting the author twisted the original myth so much, that they reduced the role of one of that myth's main characters??
WHAT???
This story doesn't even follow the original myth. In the original myth Orsis doesn't rape Seth, Anubis is not confused as Seth son and the list can go on and on about the story doesn't follow the original myth.*Facepalm* In the raws for season 2 Seth is getting beat up and that little bird(Horus) didn't do shit. Seth keeps getting hurt but where is Horus to help. No where, he is in few pages out of the three chapters for season 2. If he was so important to the story he would have been in more pages than that.
*even bigger facepalm*
They just need to come up with reasons for why they dislike Horus, or his role in the story, rather than trying to find reasons why Horus doesn't have a role in the story... because they will never find reasons second one (that Horus doesn't have a role in the story) since that claim has zero basis at all.
I have so many complicated feeling about all of these characters, like Set, Isis, and Horus because they arn't exactly faultless but you are able to understand the situations they stand in and their actions. Not to say that understanding and accepting is the same thing. Like Set murdering humans, including childrens and grinding up their souls, because he can't vent it out on the facker who caused him so much trauma and pain, along with abusing his son, Anubis. And Horus assaulting Set, even though Set was also trying to assault him, which is also repulsive. Or the fact that Isis is lashing out on Set for not going to her for help, practically victim blaming, when literally Set was panicked af cause all the crap Osiris was doing at that moment and revealing. Anubis I just feel straight up sad for, because he's so mentally facked up from his mother practically abandoning him, his father abusing him, and Osiris manipulating his fragile mind, that he doesn't know who to trust. Osiris can just fack himself though. My feeling for Osiris is straight up disgust. I don't even want to explain it ugh.
