I think it's not right to hunt a "child" thats why her elders said "you cant even hunt a proper prey" (i just paraphrase d it hehe)
And thats why she got into jail
I'm confused too. But maybe she was only allowed to grab her crush at that time. Because they put her in jail (the siren also stated they only eat live humans so she didnt grab with the intention to snack) but when they let her out again they gave her permission again to grab the same woman. They even told her she would most likely fail but she got learn the hard way.

when June said everything she meant it. And i am confused to why she got punished? Because she took a human life? But shouldn’t that be okay since they eat human? And when it said she cant hunt right does that mean they have a different way of hutting? Like you just cant simply pull someone in the sea and wait for god to drop them in????
