I can't argue with someone who can't tell the difference between what happened in the past while the ML was in the midst of competing (FL agrees with "best friend" that she will go on a date with ML if he wins) and what happened afterwards (FL sends ML a text and "best friend" informs ML that he coerced FL into it). If ML new it beforehand, he would not have been surprised by the text message.
I think they meant that Taiki knows now (not before receiving the text) that his best friend asked Chinatsu-senpai to take him to the aquarium. Also I think coerce is a pretty strong word, the best friend just suggested it to her lol there was no use of threats or force involved.
