I think its because he wanted ilyan to rest but he wants to fak im not rlly sure..

Lol I haven’t read in a while too but if you go back just 3 chapters from the last one it kind of explains what is happening. But ilyan has an alcohol addiction and he promised Kyle he would stop drinking, but he’s having horrible withdrawals which is why he is so badly sick. Ilyan thinks kyle upset with him because it’s barely been a day since he said he would stop and he’s failing and doing a horrible job and thinks he’s pathetic. In reality Kyle is upset because he didn’t notice how bad ilyans alcohol situation was. He always notices it and observes it in other people and he has many opportunities to see how bad his addiction was but he failed to see it in ilyan. So I think he just feels like he failed him or something. Anyways, ilyan noticed him acting weird and provoked Kyle to do it with him because he was getting paranoid. Kyle didn’t want to bc he is sick but ilyan insisted and he told him he better not faint then and I think that’s why they’re acting like that now.
