She actually comes across as worse than before, like getting in touch with Momo was all about HER--her guilt, cleanign up before leaving the country. It's about making herself feel better, not atoning and making MOMO feel better.
I know the new chapter is supposed to be a "Oh, so she has a heart" kind of thing but... if she had just beat her kid and felt remorse that would be bad enough but letting him get raped... I still hate her. It's a explanation I guess not an excuse. Either way I believe no matter what happens from now on Momo will be happy with Yata and that is what counts the most.
