He does, but he also keeps her from facing actual legal consequences for her actions. She could've been jailed multiple times for trespass and stalking and DJ never pressed charges because of his respect for her dad. At a certain point, the dad's also at fault for putting others in danger by enabling her to stay out of jail.

Yes he needs the sympathy but we cannot entirely seperate the Blame from him as well. Coz because of his actions like looking for the easiest way out of the situation it only resulted in a bigger issue. 2 people almost died because of her. If she was imprisoned in the first place it could've been avoided.

Calm down angry mobs. I just saying you guys need to sympathies with him. Saying that he tries but it failed. Yes, if she got into jail, thing maybe different but he did send her to mental hospital. That more responsible than some parents irl. Also, I don't think she will stay in trial for long. If I were her lawyer, I will pledge her insane. She will definitely go to mental ward and thing might happen regardsless. To begin with, where did she get that car?!!?!! She definitely run away from mental ward with no money and phone.
