Soleia loved them because they're her family, but she knows she's in a better place now (she's in a place of power as second in the tower, as opposed to living like a dead rat hiding from the crown and the church).
Some people just can't be saved.

She has killed NUMEROUS people by that point. Easily in the double digits by now.
I REALLy can't hate Solleia, idk if it's her backstory or some shit but i seriously can't just hate her. I feel like she have the potential to be one of those isekaid villainess where she comes back to her childhood and try to save her family.....now that I think of it i hope that is what's gonna happen to her after our majestic daddy kill her.
