Hey there, manga fans. I know this is off the normal topics but I`m really starting to panic now and could use some advice. The thing is, next week I`m starting univesity in a different country and I don`t know what to expect. English isn`t even my first language and though I`ve lerned it for many years, I still am stressed over my probable inability to understand all my classes. All in all, I just don`t know what to expect from university life, so if anyone wishesto talk or share, please do so.

I was an exchange student in high shool.. it was a bit hard to learn math in english at the beginning but after a month and hard work i got used to it. Can advise you to take it as adventure, chill out make lots of friends and have fun

Although I haven't personally had to deal with this, I have had some friends who did. If you're going to a big university, and they teach your native language there, maybe start talking to some one from those classes. You could help each other out with things you don't understand. Most of the time people are pretty understanding, so just ask if you don't understand something. Sometimes these things can be pretty scary, but once you find you're own way of doing things, it's not that bad. Just remember to have fun and make some good memories! :D

I've never study aboard myself but I do have friends who comes here to study aboard. I would say just figure thinks out slowly, one step a time. Figure out what class you need and see if there's specific tutors of study group that you could join! Can I ask where you're going and what major you're planning to do?

I've studied abroad and I wasn't comfortable with English but didn't have a chance to prepare as it was unexpected. It was an international school, most of my classmates were comfortable with English and they helped me a lot. The teachers were also helpful. I needed a dictionary then but I got comfortable with the situation reasonably fast.

Don't worry too much, it's a lot scarier when you think about it but when you are actually there and you are willing to learn, I promise you, it's not as scary as you think it is. As somebody suggested already, try to relax and enjoy it, you'll make friends before you know it. Lots of luck :D.
