Sure, she loves him, but like she said, she doesn't want a relationship that doesn't have a future, and that both parties need to feel the same way. She wants to date with the intention of marriage, he clearly doesn't. I completely understand why she's hesitant and I don't like his attitude. It's not enough to just want to sleep with someone and to feel attracted to them, they're still young but they're at the age where marriage isn't too far away.
I just feel like he's treating their relationship too carelessly, he looks and might sound mature because of his position but he really isn't. And tbh neither is she, but the heart wants what the heart wants and right now she seems like the most reasonable one in the relationship.
