I'll spoil alot of it here so this is like a summary of the flashbacks. and about elijah he was arthur's friend in his past life, there are 3 of them grey (art), nico (elijah) and cecilia. the 3 of them met at an orphanage, cecilia is strong and she can't really control her power or something and when she loses control it'll be bad. (I'll skip most parts) the headmaster died
the one who's managing that orphanage yadda yadda. nico liked cecilia ever since they were a child. at first cecilia liked grey but eventually she fell for nico and they got engaged too. grey and cecilia are both candidates for king and they have to fight. nico said that greys mentor is planning something (not sure abt this) and that they have to save cecilia, grey ignored nico and proceeded to the fight. so they fought and shit cecilia is mocking grey. when grey is gonna stab cecilia he thought she'll dodge it, she did not and she said that they'll (the gov) use nico against her so she'll like follow them so its better for her to die. nico saw that grey 'killed' cecilia. he misunderstood and got angry. (this explanation is dumb)
that's why he got some serious beef with grey yall are gonna see it when he awakens his memories. but it's still soooooo far from the manhwa ╥﹏╥
